Sunny Gandara is a native of Sykkylven, Norway and the author of the Norwegian vegan food blog, Arctic Grub. Her goal is to share classic and modern Norwegian recipes with a plant-based twist , coupled with stories about the traditions and history of her home country. She has also published a recipe e-book “A Collection of Recipes from Arctic Grub” and just recently started teaching online cooking classes to people all around the world.
Sunny is a professionally trained chef and lives in New York where she has her own food and wine consulting firm.

Skål (meaning "cheers") is our interpretation of what a Viking meadhall would be like today with a selection of local and Scandinavian craft beer, cider, mead, wine, & aquavit cocktails. Scandinavian Gift Shop
The Scandinavian Gift Shop has been in operation since 1983. Sisters Heidi Bergerson and Sandra Sheets purchased the business from the original owners in early 2011. We take pride in our Scandinavian heritage and live it every day. We want to pass along this enthusiasm to all of our customers.
We are a small family business with one part-time employee. Heidi's husband Chad works on our website and does the accounting. Our children and parents help out when needed.
