In April 2020, right in the midst of the COVID closure (schools, businesses, event are all closed and canceled) Krista (Scandinavian Design Studios), Ingvill (original creator of Hovden Wear), Courtnee (Fern & Fjord) and Kristin created Scandinavin Fest, an online community of small Nordic businesses. We created and ran virtual festivals, we sent out newsletters, we offered social media and business advice, but most importantly we advertised Nordic small businesses. We gave them a platform to shine and we we cheered them on!

Within that first year, Ingvill & Courtnee moved on to other ventures, while Krista and Kristin continued spreading the word about this growing community.

 

Krista ended up leaving Scandinavian Fest at the beginning of January 2024 to study abroad in Iceland!

 

Since then, Kristin has slowly be re-inventing Scandinavian Fest's purpose, the website, and nailing down what we do best.
